Health Benefits of Caulifower!

buy metformin I’ve been making cauliflower…. a lot! Trying new recipes with it. As a matter of fact, my husband said to me “I think I’m cauliflowered out” He’s my guinea pig when it comes to my new discoveries with recipes. Lucky guy, LOL!

I make “flatbread” out of it, use it as a substitute for rice, and of course “mashed potatoes” which is our favorite way to eat it. This veggie is in the cruciferous family, which includes broccoli, kale and cabbage. They all contain compounds that may prevent cancer. Cauliflower also is a great source of fiber, omega-3 essential fatty acid and Vitamin C. It keeps your heart healthy too as it contains Vitamin B1, B2 and B5.

These cruciferous vegetables can also assist in the detox process with glutathione transferase, glucuronosyl transferase and quinone reductase. Basically, these are all good enzymes and a mouth-full to say. If you want to detox your liver, eat a lot of these types of vegetables. Of course, you will need to follow a detox diet/protocol before you start. Must be sure the elimination pathways are clear in order to detox properly. Detoxing info is an entire different post ☺ Stay tuned for that one.
